: The Benchmade H2O Fixed Dive Knife (112SBK-BLK) is the ultimate all-purpose dive and underwater rescue knife, designed specifically for use in and around water — yes, even salt water! It was originally developed for an elite military program.
It features a 3-1/2″ part serrated blade, a blunt pry tip, and a cord cutter. N680 ultra-stainless steel ensures a long lasting edge that is highly resistant to corrosion. This is an Austrian-made stainless steel is comparable to 440C in performance, yet with improved rust resistance. Keen edge-holding with great corrosion resistance! The blunt tipped blade is ideal for rescue operations because there is greatly reduced risk of injury. The blunt tip also conveniently doubles as a handy chisel or pry point. No need to fear breaking the tip off this knife! This Dive Knife also incorporates a dedicated strap-cutter for rescue work. This is a multi-use tool that has been field-tested and proven to save lives. It will cut through seatbelts, clothing, shoes, webbing and parachute rigging with ease.
The H2O Dive Knife has a black textured rubberized overmold handle with a pronounced finger groove for a secure, non-slip grip. The textured pattern provides extra grippiness, even when used with gloved hands. We recommend threading a thong or lanyard cord through the lanyard hole for back-up retention around water, where once dropped, a knife is often irretrievable.
The injection molded plastic sheath has a thumb release.
