: The Benchmade Tactical Triage (917SBK) is a modern upgrade to the original Benchmade Triage rescue knife making it the new ultimate first-responder folding knife.
The drop point blade is made from CPM-S30V stainless steel. CPM-S30V is an American-made and developed premium grade stainless steel created especially for knives. It is a powdered metallurgical steel with a uniform carbide distribution and clean steel properties. This gives the blade superior corrosion resistance, toughness, and edge retention. The dual thumbstuds and patented AXIS lock make ambidextrous opening easy with or without gloves.
Contoured G10 handle scales provide a sure and comfortable grip. Jimping on both liners at the thumb-ramp provides a stable platform for the thumb to guide the cutting edge. A hooked safety cutter folds out from the back of the knife for cutting away clothing or a harness when in close-contact to body parts. Jimping along the backspacer adds extra security to the user’s grip. A carbide glass-breaker is embedded in the pommel.
