: Valence Customs is a two man shop ran by Ilya Pasumanskiy and Matthew McGinniss. Ilya is a full time Aerospace machinist while Matt is a mixed bag of tricks with his profession leaning more towards the electro-mechanical field in the Aerospace market. The two of them have always had a passion for edged tools and bring their highly specialized skills into the world of high end knives. Valence knives are machined with CNC technology out of a multi-million dollar machine shop and completely finished by hand.
The Berserker is a compact fixed blade that really packs a punch. Designed by Ilya in collaboration with Washington design company HogDoggins, the Berserker is perfect for your daily carry needs.
The 4 inch blade is stonewashed CPM-154 stainless steel made by Crucible in the USA. CPM-154 provides exceptional edge retention and high corrosion resistance that a high end knife demands. This provides a compact blade that can really take a beating! A stonewash finish helps hide any scratches you may add to the blade and helps prevent light reflection. Jimping on the thumb ramp provides excellent thumb purchase. A pierced fuller lightens the blade and adds to the knife’s good looks.
Handle scales are machined from green Micarta, secured to the full tang using torx screws made by TiConnector. The scales can be removed for easy cleaning and maintenance. The tang extends past the scales to create a glass breaker that doubles as a lanyard hole. The handle is exceptionally comfortable when choking up on the blade using the choil or when held further back for more leverage during cutting tasks.
To keep the knife close at hand, a Kydex sheath made by Red Hill Sheaths is included.
