: We were pleased to meet French knifemaker Emmanuel Le Brun at Blade Show 2023 and check out a range of his work. His knives are finely machined and have excellent fit and finish. This Bone Front Flipper will make an excellent daily carry.
The blade is perfectly centered and has silky-smooth action thanks to the ball bearing pivot. The knife can be easily opened using the ambixdextrous front flipper tab.
The upswept blade is hand ground RWL-34 stainless steel with a hand rubbed satin finish. RWL-34 is a premium powder metallurgy cutlery steel manufactured by Damasteel in Sweden. Because it is manufactured from rapidly solidified powders, the microstructure of the steel is much more uniform. This gives the steel much higher strength and durability while maintaining very high wear resistance. Le Brun’s touchmark is on the left side of the blade.
Handle scales are marble carbon fiber set on bead blasted titanium liners. The liners surround a red G-10 backbar. This knife is extremely light at only 2.2 ounces! The bead blasted titanium pocket clip is mounted for right-side, tip-up carry.
