: Mastersmith Henry Torres makes an exceptional high performing hunter! He had the opportunity to work under renowned Mastersmith Bill Burke in the spring of 2006. This allowed him to best understand Bill’s techniques of heat treating and implementation, which result in a level of edge holding rarely found elsewhere. Henry heat treated this blade using the same technique — creating a differentially heat treated blade with a hard edge and softer, supportive spine. The result is exceptional.
The clip point blade was forged from 52100 carbon steel — a steel that many knifemakers and collectors feel to have the highest performance found anywhere. The blade was hand satin finished for an heirloom quality.
A satin finished 416 stainless steel guard and pommel surround the premium stag handle. Black fiber spacers assist the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. A fileworked copper spacer brings in warm tones. The natural texture of the stag provides a sure, comfortable grip. The pommel is carved to nicely match the natural texture of the stag.
The knife is accompanied by a hand stitched pouch style leather sheath.
