: Oregon bladesmith Joe Edson specializes in straight razors and kitchen knives. His work, whether a razor or chef’s knife is truly razor sharp!
The blade is hand ground V-Toku2 san mai. High performing V-Toku2 carbon steel is set between layers of stainless steel. A thin layer of nickel stops carbon migration between the primary layers. V-Toku2, with its small crystalline size, allows for a tremendously sharp, responsive edge. The flats are forge finished. Stainless sides help make it easier to keep this razor in perfect shape. Because the center core is made from carbon steel, we recommend using camellia oil to avoid rust and oxidation. The blade features a compound 1/2 hollow grind.
Handle scales are dyed and stabilized presentation grade snakeskin sycamore. The handle is completed with a stabilized sycamore wedge. Copper accents on the pins bring in warm tones. This handle will protect the blade well during storage.
