: CarlMichael crafted his first knife at 15 years old. His 30 years of artistry are reflected in this exceptional Swedish hunting knife. From the high performing damascus blade to the mammoth ivory handle, this is sure to be a centerpiece of any collection, though it will beg to be brought out in the field.
The blade is twist pattern stainless steel damascus forged by Damasteel in Sweden. This high performing stainless damascus is created using powder metallurgical manufacturing to provide excellent edge retention and unmatched beauty. The blade is hollow ground by hand by Swedish maker Tomas Gustafsson for an easy to maintain edge. A particularly deep etch ensures the blade will hold up well to use.
Handle scales are dyed and stabilized crosscut mammoth ivory set on a full tang. The scales are fit flawlessly to brown mammoth ivory ‘bolsters’. An heirloom fit raised tang ensures the ivory is less likely to be damaged if the knife is dropped. The slim handle design is very comfortable and makes the knife easy to carry.
To keep the knife close at hand, a pouch style leather sheath is included. The leather loop is set on a ring allowing the sheath to swing out of the way when sitting down.
