: Toor Knives was founded by Connor Toor in San Diego, California. Connor was in the Marine Corps at the time and was frustrated seeing teammates in the Marine Corps having to rely on mass-produced knives that were unfit for mission-specific tasks. By pooling the experience of his teammates and his Army Ranger brother Cameron Toor, Toor knives was able to create a family of blades that fit the needs of airborne operations, diving, close-quarters battle, law enforcement, scouting, and patrolling-related missions. Toor Knives are tough, yet well balanced and easy to carry. Plus, they guarantee their knives for life from any manufacturing defects or issues!
The latest edition to Toor’s growing axe family is the F13 Tommy, which is named after the “Filthy Thirteen” of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division. The F13 Tommy resembles traditional Native American Tomahawks, but updated with a tactical twist. Designed with a 90-degree point at the head of the axe, the F13 Tommy is the ideal breaching tool. The spike on the rear end of the axe head is extended to full tomahawk length giving the fingers plenty of room when striking with it. The 7 inch long handle allows enough room for a two-handed grip, for increased swinging power, and the extremely durable G10 handle has a geometric texture carved into it for extra grip.
The blade is D2 tool steel, hardened to 57-59 Hrc for a perfect compromise between toughness and edge holding. A black oxide finish provides some limited rust resistance. The edge of this tomahawk has a tapered flat grind to reduce weight and allows for a razor-sharp edge.
Carved G-10 scales are secured to the full tang using torx screws. A lanyard can be added to the end of the handle for extra retention.
To keep the axe close at hand, a Kydex sheath is included.
