: Aaron Wilburn became a journeyman smith in June of 2009 and a master smith in 2013. He has incredible control over damascus that few others can replicate. Aaron creates serious knives for some of the most avid collectors and this bowie is an tremendous example of his work!
The massive 11.8 inch damascus blade is forged to shape from Aaron’s own feather pattern damascus. The complex pattern immediately grabs attention, with stark contrast. The clip stops just short of being fully sharpened. Wilburn’s touchmark is on the left ricasso and his M.S. mark is on the right.
The handle is a downturned section of premium Sambar stag. Sambar of this quality has become increasingly hard to find. The S-guard and pommel have an elegant damascene pattern inherent to antique wrought iron. Polished stainless steel spacers surround a wider central textured bronze spacer.
To keep the knife close at hand, a premium leather sheath made by Wilburn is included. The sheath features textured leather on the front and includes a retention strap.
