: Aaron Wilburn became a journeyman smith in June of 2009 and a master smith in 2013. Aaron creates serious knives for some of the most avid collectors and outdoorsman. This Integral Damascus Belt Knife could easily be at the center of a collection or your favorite companion while out in the field.
The 4-1/2 inch blade is made from Aaron’s own twist pattern damascus, combining 1084 and 15n20 carbon steels to ensure excellent edge holding. The spine is nicely rounded for comfort. Aaron’s maker mark is on the left side of the blade and his M.S. mark is on the right side.
The bolster is integral to the blade, with the damascus pattern moving seamlessly from bolster to blade. This technique has superior structural integrity and requires a particularly talented smith to create in a custom setting.
The handle is a downturned section of stag with lots of natural popcorn texturing for excellent grip. The wrought iron end cap has been sculpted to nicely match the stag’s texture. A black fiber spacer assists the handle to adjust to any humidity and temperature changes while out in the field.
To keep the knife close at hand, a pouch style leather custom sheath is included. The sheath features Aaron’s logo and a number that matches the knife.
