This custom LEXK CFL Frame Lock Front Flipper is a folder with a streamlined design that will make you really appreciate the details. The CFL model includes the addition of a replaceable lockbar insert. This will ensure the knife will have a rock solid lock up for generations to come!
The EXK was originally developed by Trevor’s father, Fred Burger in conjunction with Mike Skellern, and continues to be one of the most popular folders that Trevor makes. This version is the Large EXK. The blade runs on caged ceramic ball bearings and has silky-smooth, drop-shut action. It is easily opened single-handed using the discreet front flipper. The blade is perfectly centered.
The blade is premium ELMAX stainless steel, created by Bohler in Austria. At 60 Hrc, ELMAX provides the extreme edge retention, high strength, and toughness a hard-use knife demands. High wear resistance in a steel usually means low corrosion resistance, but not with ELMAX. With this advanced steel, you get both properties, which makes it an excellent steel for daily carry folders. The blade is hollow ground for an easy to maintain edge.
The handle is bead blasted grade 5 titanium and features a Copper Dark Matter FatCarbon inlay on the left side. Trevor’s maker mark is engraved on the inside of the backbar. The backbar and pocket clip are matching blackened titanium. The pocket clip is mounted for right-side, tip-up carry.
