Award winning South African knifemaker Deon Nel is considered among the best Loveless style knifemakers anywhere. His understanding of the Loveless designs and sense of balance is particularly good.
The Bohler N690 stainless steel blade was meticulously hand ground and mirror polished. It is razor sharp. N690 ensures a keen, long lasting edge with good resistance to chipping. It is a great choice for high performance, hard use knives. The hollow grind provides an easy to maintain edge that won’t need to be thinned as often during sharpening. Deon’s touchmark is on the left side of the blade.
The emerald green Micarta is secured to the distal tapered full tang. The handle is perfectly contoured for a secure, comfortable grip that you won’t want to put down. It is completed with a steel lined lanyard hole. The 303 stainless steel guard meets perfectly to the Micarta handle scales.
The knife is accompanied by a hand stitched cowhide custom sheath.
