: Knife designs by Bob Loveless are legendary in the custom knife industry. The performance and reliability of Loveless’ patterns set them apart. They continue to be made by a wide range of makers and award winning South African knifemaker Deon Nel is considered among the best. His understanding of the Loveless designs and sense of balance is particularly good. While crafted in a traditional Loveless style, this Phoenix Fighter is Deon’s own design and is limited to five of this model.
Both the blade and full tang are distal tapered for a perfect balance. The Bohler N690 stainless steel blade was meticulously hollow ground and mirror polished. The blade is razor sharp. N690 ensures a keen, long lasting edge with good resistance to chipping. It is a great choice for high performance use knives.
Maple burl scales are set on the distal tapered full tang for strength and durability. Red vulcanized fiber spacers add a nice contrast. The handle is perfectly contoured for a secure, comfortable grip that you won’t want to put down. A textured bronze guard and pins complete the handle.
A hand tooled leather sheath keeps the knife close at hand.
