This tool was crafted in the Winkler Knives shop in Northwestern North Carolina by skilled Blue Ridge Mountain artisans. It was created to provide unfailing performance and to last a lifetime. The SD1 (Standard Duty 1) is the perfect everyday carry fixed blade for hard use situations. The blade measures 3-1/3″ with an overall length of 7″. This makes the knife easily concealable and legal to carry in most areas with blade length restrictions (check your local knife laws).
The blade is 80CrV2 carbon steel — a steel that takes and holds an incredibly keen edge. A Caswell black oxide finish is both non-reflective and provides limited rust resistance. A skeletonized tang lightens weight without sacrificing strength. Jimping along the spine offers an easy thumb purchase.

Tan laminate handle scales are set on the full tang and secured using two pins. The hand sculpted handle provides a particularly comfortable, non-slip grip. The scales have been gently rounded to fill your hand nicely.
This knife includes a felt lined black Boltaron sheath with a belt clip attachment.
