This tool was crafted in the Winkler Knives shop in Northwestern North Carolina by skilled Blue Ridge Mountain artisans. It was created to provide unfailing performance and to last a lifetime. The SD1 (Standard Duty 1) is the perfect everyday carry fixed blade for hard use situations. The blade measures 3-1/2″ with an overall length of 7″. This makes the knife easily concealable and legal to carry in most areas with blade length restrictions (check your local knife laws).
The blade is formed from 80CrV2 carbon steel — a steel that takes and holds an incredibly keen edge. A Caswell black oxide finish is both non-reflective and provides limited rust resistance. A distal tapered blade and tang mean great balance. Jimping along the spine offers an easy thumb purchase.

A stained walnut handle is set on the full tang and secured using two pins. The scales have been gently rounded to fill the hand nicely.
This knife includes a felt lined black Boltaron sheath. The metal belt clip functions well for both in-the-waistband and outside-the-waistband carry.
