: Journeyman Smith Luiz Gustavo Gonçalves is among the greatest Brazilian bladesmiths alive today. He is a protégé of Eduardo Berardo. His work, which has won numerous awards, clearly speaks for itself.
This hunter was hand forged from L Gustavo’s own Bold twist damascus. Gustavo’s maker’s mark and JS are inlaid in 24kt gold.
The handle is contoured from stabilized thuya burl. The convoluted wood shows a nice range of mid and light tones. The handle is shaped for a secure, comfortable grip.
This hunter is accompanied by a hand stitched, tooled leather custom sheath.
