: Trevor Burger is a second-generation knifemaker following in the steps of his father, Fred Burger. He has an eye for detail. His knives have exceptionally smooth action and clean, no-nonsense designs. This custom Urban SFL is a folder with a streamlined design that will make you really appreciate the details.
The blade runs on Trevor’s in-house-made caged ceramic ball bearings and has silky-smooth action. Generally bearings are made either from tool steel or from stainless steel. Stainless steel can wear away, resulting in uneven action over time. Tool steel bearings can oxidize making the action rough. Ceramic bearings are the best of all worlds. Extremely hard and wear resistant, they are also inert and will not oxidize. The blade is easily opened single-handed using the gent’s front flipper. This allows the blade to be flicked out quickly, or slowly rotated open with the thumb.
The blade is high performing stainless damascus forged by Damasteel in Sweden. This stainless damascus is created using powder metallurgical manufacturing to provide excellent edge retention and unmatched beauty. The damascus is deeply etched to really show off the pattern.
The handle is bead blasted grade 5 titanium and features a Copper Dark Matter FatCarbon scale on the show side. The titanium side is skeletonized to reduce weight to only 2.2 oz! A lanyard can be added using the lanyard hole included in the backbar. The 3D machined titanium pocket clip is mounted for right-side, tip-up carry.
